Sun-Glo offers several different types and speeds of shuffleboard wax powders. Since 1935, Sun-Glo has devoted time, money, and research into the shuffleboard powders. The powder is a personal thing with players, as it is real important to find the powder that you are comfortable in playing with. A lot of players like fast powders while others prefer a slower powder for more control. For new shuffleboard owners, it is recommended trying several waxes so you can pick your favorite and continue to play with that particular speed. Also remember that performance-maintenance waxes will help to make your table faster.
If your shuffleboard playing surface has an old lacquer or polyurethane finish you will want to use the Sun-Glo Care and Upkeep Kit. You might also need to use a faster wax if your playing surface is fairly worn down. If your table has a new or good playing field, you might want to use a slower powder so that the surface is not too fast. The Silicone Spray is highly recommended with any wax or powder.
